Haritha Siddardh Gourishetty is a Ph.D. student in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where she is also pursuing a Minor in Gender and Women’s Studies. In her fifth year of study, Haritha's research focuses on the gendered dynamics within urban spaces, specifically examining the navigation patterns of women in the fields of architecture, urban planning, and design in India. Her work aims to contribute to the development of gender-inclusive public spaces by addressing safety concerns and their impact on the experiences of women. Haritha’s research and professional endeavors are driven by a commitment to fostering equity and inclusivity in urban spaces, reflecting her broader goal of creating environments where diverse voices and experiences are valued and integrated.
